Pilates is highly recommended during and after pregnancy. Not only does the strengthening of the core stabilizing and the pelvic floor muscles help support and protect the spine during pregnancy, it also makes post-natal rehabilitation far more effective.
Other benefits include
- Strong pelvic floor muscles, which help prevent Urinary Stress Incontinence.
-Healthy back and pelvic floor muscles to assist in labor and delivery.
-Intricate breathing technique to assist in relaxation.
-Strong postural muscles to help prevent back pain caused from breast feeding and handling the baby.
